My wife and I are developing a web site and would like to put an ongoing story on it, we have been told by friends to start a blog on the site and we are wondering, the way things are outdated, if blogs are still current or is there a new thing out now?

Blogs are one of the biggest things going on online right now...There are lots of people interested in reading blogs, try checking out blogspot.com or livejournal.com to get some ideas, good luck with your website!
