Wordpress blogs are cool and easy to use. There are tons of plugins which are available for you to make your blog nice and presentable.
You may also consider getting a domain name and host your blog on your own website.

Okay, the graphics are a bit twee and okay, it was initially marketed at 14 year old girls but it's highly customisable and free (or if you want to pay, you can do that as well).
