Are online blogs a good idea?

I need to know the pros and cons of online blogs. Every blog site. Liike the pros and cons of buisness blogs and other ones such as xangsta and Myspace. please give good examples! thanks!

it really depends on what you want to post in blogs. if your posting about personal stuff then you are laying your life out there for the public to see. if you are posting about some interest you have then others who are interested will make contact with you and that is a good thing for everyone. its really up to you whether you want the world to see it or just your friends.

Reply:I can't give you everything but I can tell you about the ones I've used:


- LiveJournal.com I really like because you can set it to friends-only, private and public. I love the privacy settings they're great.


- Vox.com is also great. It's got privacy settings as well--just like LiveJournal, but it doesn't enable you to be very creative with the layout.


- Blogspot.com is okay, you're average blogging site and so is WordPress. If you'd like an unlimited, free version of LiveJournal, go check out GreatestJournal.com.
